2018 - 2022
Web Administrator, Web Developer, Web Designer

I have been employed by Motor Controls Inc. for over four years. I was responsible for designing, developing, securing, managing, and updating the company’s online strategies for multiple brands. I was also responsible for collateral campaigns including press releases, writing blog articles, brochures, flyers, user manuals, logos, and product photography. While with Motor Controls, I published six global websites including three e-commerce which raised company revenues over a 100K per year and three info sites. Daily duties included working with various department managers to organize, meet company branding and adhere to specification standards, taking and editing thousands of product photos, monitoring daily website traffic, updating, and managing all websites. I also consulted with the company owners to develop online marketing and security strategies.

2017 - 2018
Web Marketing Manager, Web Developer, Web Designer

While at G.L. Huyett, I led the advertising & marketing teams to design and develop client e-commerce websites. I was responsible for the entire design and development of many large e-commerce websites. Daily projects included designing, building, managing, updating, and optimizing (SEO), and developing marketing strategies for client websites.

2016 - 2017
Webmaster, Web Developer, Web Designer

My responsibilities while I was with Tech Gear 5.7 were for all aspects of the company’s online profiles and strategies including building and maintaining the company’s three e-commerce websites. I developed and implemented marketing strategies, build keyword campaigns, optimize websites, and organize well written, engaging copy for SEO / PPC initiatives. I was also responsible for researching, acquiring, implementation, updating and providing support for new information technologies (IT). Some of the IT technologies I utilized were upgrades including JIRA (Core), G-Suite, custom software/web apps, cPanel, domain and hosting accounts. Manage all employee email accounts, hardware, software, and networking technologies. I managed two employees, the Online and IT department, and provided support for executive agendas.

I revamped company branding by developing styling standards, promotions, convention and trade shows agendas, and social media campaigns. I designed, built, updated, and maintained all company databases. I drafting and implemented online client contracts, order forms, and various promotional programs. I was also responsible for managing a large monthly department budget of 50k.

2013 - 2016
Frontend Web Design and Development, IT

During my tenure with Wyndham Jade (MCI now), I traveled abroad to attend conventions for IT support. Onsite tasks included setting up the router, 10 or more registration stations (Zebra printers and laptops) for client “temps” to operate during the convention, and was responsible for trouble shooting network problems and any on-the-spot changes that were needed, ensuring the event registrations ran smoothly.

As part of the IT team, building event housing websites, delegating the registration websites to the appropriate registration developers, compiling both the registration and housing components for event websites ensure that both housing and registration adhered to business rules, quality control, create and implement supporting graphics, and deliver finished websites to the account managers. I programmed registration badges, built the onsite portals to print the registration badges, edit and proof the event badges. Other responsibilities included day-to-day operations, handle support issues submitted via JIRA. These tickets included everything from website and badge creation, changes, updates, and any problems with company servers, online tools, and new business rules to be implemented for event operations. Ongoing projects included rebuilding the internal website that generated metric and analytic event reports that the company and clients used to track real-time progress.

I compiled a training manual for all new IT employees transitioning into the team. Built it using ColdFusion, SQL queries which interacted with an Oracle Database (which pulled member information, etc.), HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript. The sites were expected to be mobile responsive and comply with client/Wyndham Jade branding standards. Responsible for creating the HTML email confirmations (HTML, XPath, XSLT) that were sent to members upon completion of an online registration, hotel reservations, or both. Once all website components were completed, I merged them into one website, ran quality control tests on both housing and registration processes to ensure the websites were functional and fully compliant to company standards. Most of my websites not only met tight deadlines but were delivered well in advance of the due date.

During his time at Motor Controls Inc., James was responsible for web developing, changing layout, functionality, SEO, and more of our websites related to our new product lines and our marketing needs. James fulfilled employment responsibilities with little supervision. The position required interaction with other office personnel as well as the ability to liasise between different departments. Success was dependent on strong communication and interpersonal skills.

I am happy to act as a reference for James and can speak to his work ethic, computer litercy, and professionalism. Please feel free to contact me should you require further information.

To Whom It May Concern,

I was the Accountant/Front Office Manager at Tech Gear 5.7. While at Tech Gear, I worked with James Caldwell. Although James was the Manager for the online department, he often worked outside those confines by implementing IT solutions for the entire company. In my opinion, James was highly motivated, easy to work with, and a valuable member of the Tech Gear 5.7 team. I highly recommend James to any company thinking of adding James to their web development/web design team.

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Len Loukaides and I am the owner and founder of a few global manufacturing companies (Kadena, Fieldsheer, Mobile Warming, and Tech Gear 5.7). I'm writing this letter as a character/professional reference for James Caldwell.

James is a trustworthy and reliable person whom I hired as a Webmaster to run my online department. He was knowledgable, proficient, and productive with the technologies he was responsible for.

James was a good employee whom I feel has great potential and in the right environment will perform extremely well. I'm sure he will be a valuable asset to any company looking for a dedicated web developer, graphic designer, or IT person.

I am pleased to provide this letter of recommendation for James.

James and I worked together at Wyndham Jade where I was his manager and direct supervisor for the nearly two years he was employed from 2015-2016.

He is honest and incredibly hard-working; not afraid of staying late or putting in extra effort to get the job done. James is a true team-player and was always asking if he could help anyone on the team. He is extremely friendly and took the time to get to know everyone around the company.

I confidently recommend James to join your organization where you will find him to be a dedicated employee and genuinely kind and courteous person.

Merkur Group Inc. Graphic Designer

Dear Sir or Ma’am,

I am writing to recommend James Caldwell enthusiastically for employment in your organization. James and I worked alongside each other during the latter half of 2014—he as Executive Assistant and I as Graphic Designer for the Merkur Group—and during our time together I was fortunate to have such a versatile and conscientious teammate in James.

The title Executive Assistant can be broad, and this was certainly the case for James. When I was hired in the summer of 2014 James not only arranged the interview, but he conducted it as well. Members of our executive team were in and out of the meeting, but James was a natural leader during the interview. Not only were his communication skills and professionalism apparent, but his experience as a graphic designer made for an informed, effective interview. And, once I was brought on board, his expertise as a graphic designer helped my own job performance, be it with technical or visual insight, both of which he offered constructively and to the benefit of our workflow.

The executives to whom James reported are Chinese nationals, so not only did he act as their American proxy in business and social matters, but he also took on oversight of my duties when they traveled to China for extended business trips. With China being 13 hours ahead of Dallas time, James performed admirably as our 24-hour liaison, handling communications at all hours with China, with our corporate office in Las Vegas, and with business partners nationwide for whom James was the Merkur Group’s point of contact. In our executive’s absence, James also supervised my project list both with trust and with a sense of urgency as deadlines approached, and he saw to it that my needs were anticipated and met.

I appreciate the time spent working with James. He acted as a trusted colleague and a highly qualified mentor, and I know that I have only scratched the surface of what he has done for the Merkur Group and what he is capable of in your organization.

Warm regards,

James Hough
